Holly Lodge (Pewsey) is a purpose built modern nursing home designed to provide specialist support to 18 people with both learning disabilities and significant health needs. The facility was formally opened in September 2003 by HRH The Princess Royal and is the only one of its kind in the county. The home is divided into three discrete parts, each of which functions as a mini-home within the whole and in this way a homely and non-institutional atmosphere prevails. Each part has its own garden and the entire facility is surrounded by beautiful and well tended grounds.
The home is close enough to the centre of the town to enable easy access on foot and yet sufficiently secluded to promote privacy and quiet.
Three specially adapted vehicles are provided to enable residents to travel in comfort around the local area or indeed further if required. Excellent links are maintained with the local GP surgery together with other specialist NHS services.
Currently the staffing team comprises of some 52 individuals, nine of whom are registered nurses.
