Registered Manager Supported Living and Out Reach Services

The White Horse Care Trust are seeking to appoint a Registered Manager to oversee the Trust’s supported living and outreach services. The successful candidate will join a growing organisation specialising in care and support to adults with learning and other disabilities. Based in Wroughton, Nr. Swindon you will be responsible for providing management support to current services and active participation in the establishment of new services currently located in and around the Swindon area.

Duties and Responsibilities

Fully endorsing the principle of person centred care, you will be responsible for overseeing management of the team within the supported living and outreach services on a daily basis, managing the financial and administrative activities and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, other agencies and the public.

You will take responsibility for directly oversee the design and implementation of care plans whilst shaping strategy and recruiting, mentoring and monitoring your team.

An enhanced disclosure is required for all successful applicants, the Trust will meet the cost of this.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate experience of managing and leading a team, working with adults with learning disabilities and has achieved or is working towards a QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care or holds equivalent or a relevant higher-level qualification.

Applicants should be able to work flexibly, including some evenings, weekends and nights when required and will be enthusiastic about supporting our residents in a person-centred way. You will also hold a full driving licence.

Salary: £26,000 to £27,000

Care Assistants / Support Workers

We are currently recruiting for support workers in the following locations:

Marlborough

 Pewsey

Devizes

Swindon

These rewarding positions require carers who are personally committed to supporting our residents to achieve an independence of living and who are able demonstrate a sympathetic understanding of the complex needs of individuals with learning and other disabilities. You will support residents in their daily living needs including their personal care and activities within the community.

Previous experience although beneficial is not essential as full training will be provided. Holding a full driving licence is required, as each Home has its own transport to facilitate community involvement.

As support is required on a 24 hours basis, you will need to available to work mornings, evenings and weekends. Although if you have limited availability we can offer a casual contract.

We have a number of positions available, full time of 37 hours per week and part-time posts of 2,3 or four days. We can also offer early morning shifts 7.30 to 10.30, evenings 6.00 to 9.00, and casual contracts for people who require a flexible approach to their working hours.

Up to £8.05 for those with experience and qualifications, plus additional pay for Sundays, Bank Holidays and Sleep-ins.
